About Susan
I’m a chartered organisational psychologist and executive coach. I completed my studies almost 20 years ago at a time when the economy was collapsing and “jobs!” was the first thing on people’s minds. It was a tough time but it set me on a very specific path; I became a dedicated student of the world of employment – I learned how to understand my own qualities, how to match them with market needs and how to present myself.
These early experiences took me in two distinct directions professionally.
On one hand, I love to work with people to help them shine a light on their own unique and brilliant qualities, so that they can make choices that work for them and present themselves as they would like on paper and at interview.
On the other, I work with employers to help identify the people that are the right fit for their company; those that will give the best of themselves and have the qualities needed to succeed. A key way we do this is through psychometric testing – to my mind, the most under-utilised tool of the 21st century. At Careercraft we are experts in using these tools to help hiring managers deepen their understanding of a candidate’s personality, emotional intelligence, risk styles, abilities and other attributes.
